Bought the game long ago, but never played. Is it good?

It's a good game with good pixel art, gameplay, bosses, and music but the exploration, secrets, tweak system, and extra content leaves yet to be desired.

That said, I think the way the 2 characters intersect makes the drawing a little cluttered.
